Sleek Makeup have come a long since their days of being stocked in local pharmacies and afro hair shops when I was growing up. Now a leading brand on the high street, Sleek makeup remains an affordable choice for those of us with deeper skin tones.
Launching today, their Power Plump Lip Crayons are definitely worth checking out. At first glance, I actually mistook them for the NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencils as they look very similar. Once I realised I hadn’t been sent those, I dived in and got swatching.
Available in six shades, I was impressed by their colour pay-off. Pigmented, yet lightweight, Sleek boast they they enhance the lips, making them look and feel plumped. Upon application, they leave a tingling sensation, which quickly fades away and they’re a great alternative to the plumping glosses currently available on the market.

I’m yet to find lip crayons that I really like, I’ve been left disappointed by poor pigment in the past, but these the Power Plump Lip Crayons have swayed me. Easy to apply, the colour spreads easily across the lips, feeling silky and leaving a satin finish. They don’t have a long-lasting formula, so you will have to touch up every couple of hours, but for the price, who’s complaining. I’m loving Berry Burst, a gorgeous mid-mauvy pink and Notorious Nude, which is a really easy nude to wear on my skin tone.
How much are they? £5.49
