A couple of weeks ago, I went along to the unveiling of two new products by luxury natural skincare brand, Espa. Found in some of the best spas over the world, Espa has done well to preserve its reputation for combining technology with the highest quality of plant and marine extracts and essential oils.
Having recently undergone a complete packaging re-brand, they’ve also introduced two new products to their extensive range. Today I’m sharing the new, limited edition Restorative Balm. In a climate where daily life can be fast-paced, stress-filled and always on the go, a moment of pure calm is welcomed with open arms and can be found in this little pot of goodness.
Combining a Restorative Essential Oil blend of Sweet Orange, Rose Geranium and Lavender, this handbag essential is perfect for travel. The blend of 100% natural pure essential oils and plant actives is to be applied to wrists and temples…then simply breathe. Its aim to to help you unwind a busy mind, let anxieties slip away and find your moment of inner calm.
I tried this on a recent train ride. I wasn’t particularly stressed out, but my brain was working overtime and so I followed these advised steps:

• Massage Restorative Balm into the wrists and temples.
• Close your eyes and inhale deeply through the nose into the abdomen, then gently exhale.
• Repeat as often as desired.

Some 15 mins later, I did slightly more relaxed which was pleasant. On occasion, I’ve also used this just before bedtime as in recent months I’ve suffered from increasing insomnia due to a number of reasons. In the evenings, I warm a small amount in my hands, cup over my nose and inhale deeply through my nose into my abdomen, and repeat 3-4 times.

It does a good job of stimulating your senses and evoking an aura of relaxation and calm, which can only be a good thing. I’d love for a massage oil or candle to be launched, using the same combination of scents. Here’s hoping!

Espa Restorative Balm launches in March, and will be priced £15.
